Canyon Electric Company installs Discrete Wireless
MARCUS® 6 GPS Fleet Management System
Atlanta, GA - (January 15, 2005) - Atlanta-based Discrete Wireless, Inc. today announced that Las Vegas, NV based Canyon Electric Company Inc., has completed rollout of the Discrete Wireless MARCUS® 6 GPS Fleet Management System for the company’s entire fleet. Canyon Electric Company, Inc. (CECI) has provided top quality construction and electrical services in the Las Vegas valley for over 17 years.
Fred Stayrook of CECI stated, “We are delighted with the mapping functions of the new MARCUS V6 product as it relates to the productivity of our dispatchers. The vehicle maintenance feature has allowed us to eliminate the paper reporting process to record mileage and upkeep of our trucks. Additionally, we use the system to validate arrival/departure of our techs and MARCUS 6 reports have gotten us out of several billing and response disputes.”
Canyon Electric Company purchased the MARCUS® 6 system through TrackNet, a large Discrete Wireless Master Distributor. The new MARCUS® 6 GPS Fleet Management Application has the most comprehensive suite of features and tools in the industry. New components include point to point routing with driving directions, dispatch and messaging, automated report delivery and vehicle maintenance. Enhanced features include new mapping, a user-defined location radius, route playback, new reports and additional real-time alerts.
