Atlanta, GA - (July 27, 2005) - Atlanta-based Discrete Wireless, Inc., a leading provider of GPS Fleet Management Systems, today announced that Long Island, New York-based HUB Truck Rental Corporation has selected Discrete Wireless as its GPS Fleet Management provider. HUB will be using the Discrete Wireless Marcus® GPS system to monitor its daily rental fleet and will be offering the Marcus solution to its long term lease customers.
Established in 1957, HUB Truck Rental is one of the largest full-service commercial truck leasing companies in the New York metro area with its fleet of more than 1600 trucks servicing customers in small to mid size local and national delivery businesses.
GPS Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) systems help vehicle leasing companies control costs by reducing clerical overhead and improving maintenance. AVL systems help ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of fleet tracking data which in turn improves billing and safeguards against tax liabilities.
