Jeffery Thacher
President and CEO

Jeff is President and CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Discrete Wireless, Inc. Prior to founding Discrete Wireless, Jeff was the Director of the Wireless Solutions Group at BellSouth Wireless Data (formerly RAM Mobile Data). Here, Jeff was responsible for the business case and customer deployment recommendations for all of BellSouth’s wireless data technologies, including GSM, TDMA, Mobitex and Cellemetry. Prior to that role, he served as a consultant at Convergence Corporation, which was acquired by Amazon.com and operated as Amazon Anywhere.

Jeff’s management positions also include Sales Director at Microsoft solution integrator Info Systems of NC, which was acquired by Sykes Enterprises, and marketing positions at Sensormatic Electronics, Chips and Technologies, Inc., and the S.C. Johnson Company.

Jeff received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University.


Mike Scarbrough
Chief Operating Officer

Mike is Chief Operating Officer of Discrete Wireless, Inc. Prior to Discrete Wireless, Mike was Chief Operating Officer of FBO Systems, a leading Enterprise Asset Management company prior to its acquisition by QAD, Inc. During his tenure at FBO, Mike led the company’s product development and worked extensively with FBO’s consulting group developing best practices for Project Controls Management, Plant Maintenance and MRO Inventory and Purchasing helping large scale manufacturing companies around the world achieve World Class Asset Management (WCAM).

Prior to FBO Systems, Mike also held positions as Business Unit and Corporate Controller at divisions of Sonoco and Scovill, Inc.

Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.


Royce Jordan
CTO and Chief Scientist

Royce Jordan is the CTO and Chief Scientist at Discrete Wireless. Joining Discrete in 2006, Royce brings over 20 years experience in the development of Wireless data applications and a history of developing fault tolerant, mission critical, scalable wireless solutions. Royce is a proven innovator. He has been awarded 11 US Patents related to Wireless Data. In 1999, Royce was named Innovator of the Year by BellSouth.

Previously, Royce was Director of Product Development for Velocita Wireless - A Sprint/Nextel Company where he was responsible for development and support of all wireless data applications within the company. Prior to joining Velocita, Royce held various Director level positions in Cingular, BellSouth Wireless Data, and RAM Mobile Data. He was responsible for developing some of the first mobile data applications in the country. In the early 1990's, his work inventing and developing Interactive Messaging led him to work with Research in Motion to develop the wireless data protocols and email gateways for the product that is now known as Blackberry.

Royce has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Georgia. Royce has also done post graduate work in business administration at Georgia State University and Emory Goizueta School of Business.

Wayne Johnson
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Wayne is responsible for the development of direct and indirect distribution channels at Discrete Wireless. Wayne has extensive experience in developing sales and distribution channels as well as marketing Wireless Data solutions including Field Force Automation, GPS Fleet Management and Wireless Corporate e-Mail.

Prior to joining Discrete Wireless in August 2000, Wayne was a Strategic Sales Manager with BellSouth Wireless Data (formerly RAM Mobile Data). During Wayne’s 3 years at BellSouth Wireless Data, he developed key relationships with hardware and software providers in the wireless data industry as well as supported many Fortune 500 wireless solutions including, American Freightways, MCI, Hertz, and Accenture.

Wayne received his Bachelor of Business Science from Georgia Southern University.


Nick Legg
Vice President, IT and Network Operations

Nick joined Discrete Wireless in November 2004, and leads the Business Development efforts including applications development, systems architecture, network operations, quality assurance and customer support.

Nick brings eleven years of extensive information technology experience across government, financial, HR, hospitality and research verticals. Nick’s prior positions include Vice President of Technology for Navigauge Inc., a cutting edge media research company.

Nick also held positions as the Director of Product Engineering with Xperius Inc., Technical Architect with Rare Medium, Senior Systems Engineer with EDS/CDC and Senior Software Engineer with Equifax E-Banking.
